2015 Writing Goals

I’m a little late on this post, but had to take the time to write it. Like every year, I have set some resolutions that revolve around my writing, and, to be accountable, I like to share them with everyone. So here they are, short and sweet my 2015 writing goals. . .

• Goal #1: Write the sequel to Ignite The Shadows ~ This is done and the title is out and it is: Eclipse The Flame

10/30/2015 – Received editorial notes, will being work in December
09/01/2015 – Waiting for editorial notes…
08/01/2015 – 3rd draft mailed to my Harper Voyager editor
07/01/2015 – Finished 3nd Draft. On to beta readers
05/30/2015 – Finished 2nd Draft
03/20/2015 – 100% complete – 1st draft done in 79 days. On to the 2nd draft!
03/03/2015 – 73% complete – 21k words written in the last 18 days
02/13/2015 – 50% complete – My #1k1h approach is working. I’m even a bit ahead. Yay!

• Goal #2: Write 2nd Book in The Morphid Chronicles ~ Keeper, the 1st installment, came out in June of 2014. The goal is to write and publish the sequel this year. I’m very excited about coming up with a cover design and working with my editor! And by the way, there is a cover and a title: Ripper

09/10/2015 – 77% complete – 70k words
09/01/2015 – 60% complete – 64k words
09/01/2015 – I have a cover and I can’t wait to share it!!!
08/01/2015 – 30% complete – 30k words
07/01/2015 – Began writing
• Goal #3: YA Sci-Fi ~ I’ve had this amazing idea for a sci-fi story that makes me go tingly all over every time I think about it. If I do this right, this story could be epic, something in the vein of Cloud Atlas but YA, of course. I’m dying to write this!

• Goal #4: Write an Ignite the Shadows novella. This is a new goal as of November 1st. Since I couldn’t get to goal#3, I had to think of something!
